Our Story

Established in 1927 the original Evanston Lock Shop began as a one person operation located in a garage behind the old Marshall Field building. The Johnson family purchased Evanston Lock Shop in 1944. During the last 75 years four Johnson generations have concentrated on meeting the security needs of North Shore residents and businesses.  Johnson Locksmiths relocated to its present site at 1557 Maple in 1952, where a fleet of service vehicles and experienced technicians are now at your at your service. Our store is located in downtown Evanston with a free convenient parking lot for our customers.
